Regional Training Conferences 2009:

The SkillsUSA Virginia Alumni is pleased to announce the offering of three Leadership Training Conferences (LTC).  The LTC will be a one day event and will provide an opportunity for career and technical students across Virginia to be taught skills needed for employment by nationally trained State Officer and Alumni Trainers. Registration for these events will be online. Please print out the following directions to make it easier to register. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Dennis Belyea, the Webmaster at 571-274-5006.

1. You must login to register. Click here to login.
2. After login, you will be directed your Control Panel. Click on Register for LTC.
3. Select the LTC of your choice from the drop down menu.
4. Enter the First and Last Name of the registrant.
5. Select the status (Advisor or Student).
6. Click Add Participant.
7. Complete 4 through 6 for each participant. When you are finished, click Finished.
8. Print your invoice and mail the registration fee to the address on the invoice.

 

 
The registration is $55.00 per participant.  The locations and dates are:

October 17, 2009

 New River Community College (Dublin, VA)
October 24, 2009 The Hanover Center for Trades and Technology (Hanover, VA)
November 14, 2009 Kecoughtan High School (Hampton, VA)
  • Students will learn through interactive games that encourage the concepts of team work, leadership and how they relate to the work place. 

  • Students will receive training in chapter procedures with highlights on the seven areas of the Program of Work as defined by SkillsUSA. 

  • Statesman awards will be given to students who have demonstrated knowledge of SkillsUSA and general knowledge of the functions of government, and the SkillsUSA Professional Development Program.
